BIBLE
I was born in Lorain, Ohio and moved to Washington, DC at the age of 2 years old.
As a youngster I was very shy with low self-esteem. By the time I was 15-I dropped out of high school. It seemed as if self-doubt and shame would win over my life-one that would turn my past "SHAME INTO SHINE" to be a blessing to the lives of others!
At the age of 42-I returned to high school to earn my high school diploma. Full of self-determination and a strong desire to reach my God-given dream to be an agent of change in the communities-I enrolled at the University of District of Columbia. In 2015 - I earned a Bachelor of Social Work- and thus begin my tireless service as a community mentor and humanitarian.
I have the ability to listen to the hurting-to be "present in the moment" and commit my passion to the local community. I have a huge heart for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, mental health issues, and homelessness. My past pain has made me a bright light in the lives of the hurting.
